Blue Ridge Campmeeting 2009
The camp dates this year are: July 4-10 and July 11-17. Our camp brochure is posted online so that all of you will know exactly what is happening during camp. Even if you’re not able to come and stay on the grounds, we invite you to come up and experience camp as much as you can. All campers are invited to come up Friday night, July 3rd. We will begin serving meals on Saturday morning. We invite all of you to join us for meals and services even if you are not staying on the grounds. On July 4th, we will kick off Camp 1 with a Freedom Rally. We will hear a patriotic speech from Pastor Mark Cravens and will enjoy some great patriotic music.
If you are signed up but for any reason do not plan to attend, now is the time to let us know. Camp is a great experience and you don't want to miss it. Lives are greatly changed each year as people seek a deeper relationship with God.

Change in Sunday, July 5th Schedule
There is only ONE Sunday each year when we have ONE Sunday morning service. On Sunday, July 5th is that day! On that Sunday we will hold only one 11:00 am service. There will be no early service or Sunday school due to so many of our families attending the Blue Ridge Camp meeting. However, for those of you who will not be at camp, you don’t want to miss that service. Pastor Mark Cravens, one of our camp evangelists, will be coming down with Pastor Jeff to speak. Pastor Cravens is a wonderful preacher and your heart will be encouraged and strengthened by his ministry. Again, we will only be holding one 11am service Sunday, July 5th.
Building Projects Update
Our camp project has been completed, except the flooring, and we passed our final inspection. Special thanks to all of you who helped get this job finalized in such a short time. Our new building project is on target and we will move into the turning lanes phase over the next week or so. There will be some traffic disruption over the next several weeks so please be gracious and patient as we finish the job. These lanes will make it much easier to get in and out of our parking lot. Please keep the financial needs of this project in your daily prayers as well as the safety of all the workers.

PCA is on the verge of taking another major leap forward next Fall. We will be adding a second class for every elementary grade except 4th. We have hired several fantastic new teachers to make this possible. One of these teachers holds a Master's Degree in elementary advanced education. She will be teaching second grade this year and will begin to lay the foundation for our advanced learning program.
We have also hired several new high school teachers. One holds a PH.D in Chemistry. Another holds a Master's Degree in Biology and another holds a Master's in Criminology. We will be offering honors courses in criminology as well as several other fields. Dr. Susan Keller PH.D will be setting up our new chemistry lab as well as teaching science courses. Dr. Paul Peak holds a Doctorate in Musical Arts and a Master's in Music and will be our Administrator of Fine Arts.
Our new school building, that will house new administrative offices as well as classrooms for 7-12 grade, is on schedule to open this Fall.
