Q. When did you come to Parkway and what events led you here?
A. In the summer of 06, while studying at Hobe Sound Bible College, I had decided to have my intern at Parkway House of Prayer. I was captivated by Pastor Jeff’s vision for his church and Pastor Dan’s passion for youth. It wasn’t long after my graduation that God lead me back to PHOP.
Q. Where have you come from? What are some of your previous ministry experiences?
A. Ironically I am from the same town that Pastor Jeff, Pastor Dan, and Pastor Ray started their first church plant in, Hollywood Florida. Pastor Dan helped to start one of the major ministry organizations that led me to Christ. I attended the church across the street from them and I had never met our pastoral team prior to my internship.
Before coming here I was involved with the middle school ministry at Hobe Sound Bible Church, and I also helped counsel and pastor at Florida Bible Church teen group in Miramar, Florida.
Q. Tell us about your family.
A. I am married to Esther Forte who is an Elementary teacher at PCA, and is the heart beat of all that I do and all that I am.
Q. What are your major responsibilities at Parkway? (Tell us what you do).
A. I have the rare privilege of watching God miraculously move in the lives of Parkway’s middle school students. I serve here has assistant to Pastor Dan and head of the middle school youth department. Also, I teach middle school Bible, Computer and P.E. at Parkway Christian Academy. I believe my greatest strengths as a middle school teacher is: first my ability to trust God, and second the fact that, in more ways than one, I am a middle schooler at heart.
Q. What excites you most about your ongoing ministry here?
A. It is simple. The truth that, in doing my job, I am making a difference for all of eternity, and fulfilling God's GREATEST plan for my life. Youth ministry is without question a calling. God has made this my desire since my days as a fellow middle schooler.
Q. Name one highlight over the past five years. Your favorite Parkway moment.
A. The highlight of my life is without question knowing and marrying my wife. Next to that (I am not trying to sound cheesey or hoity- toity) is the opportunity to come and join in what God is doing at Parkway House of Prayer.
Q. What are your hobbies/interests? What are some things you especially like to do in your free time?
A. Before moving to Virginia, my favorite past time is Surfing. However, being land locked has put the kibosh on that. I also enjoy painting, exercising, playing games, just getting outside and doing stuff.
Q. What is your favorite food?
A. Without question Sushi...........Don't ask.
Q. What book(s) have you read recently that you'd like to recommend? Do you have a favorite book?
A. Francis Chan's Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God, Forgotten God: Reversing Our Tragic Neglect of the Holy Spirit
Q. What do you anticipate in the near future?
A. My personal goals for the future are to learn as much as I possibly can from our great leader and encourage our youth to do the same. God has truly blessed Parkway beyond measure with amazing men of God that have a vision for reaching the lost. I am so excited to be a part of what God is doing here at Parkway. My next top priority is building rock solid relationships with our students. I see the Soul Changers youth ministry in the near future catching the vision of our leaders and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ in ways that will change our community and in effect the world for Christ.
