 Church Plants

Grace Bible Church
Richmond, VA

On Sunday morning, January 13, 2008, we kicked off a new church plant in Atlee, Virginia just outside Richmond. Dr. James Keaton, who lived as a boy in the Richmond area, has long desired to plant a church in this area. 42 people gathered on this first Sunday. They held a grand opening on Sunday morning, March 2nd. Rev. Melvin Adams Jr. and his wife Tamela moved to Richmond in July 2008 to join Dr. and Mrs. Keaton. Pastor Melvin is the eldest grandson of Dr. Keaton and has been pastoring for the last few years in Idaho. We are grateful to God for continuing to provide great leadership for this new church plant. Please keep this new outreach effort in your prayers.

Grace Bible Church is currently meeting in the American Legion Hall at the corner of 301 & Atlee Road in Atlee, VA.
Service: Sunday at 10:00 AM

After one year in existence, we are praying for God's leadership in finding a more permanent place of worship. On Sunday, January 18th, we had 54 in attendance and are excited about the addition of several new families over the last couple of months. It is our vision to build a strong and vibrant church that leads men and women to Christ, builds them up in their faith and sends them out into the harvest field.

For more information about this new church, please contact Dr. James Keaton or Pastor Melvin Adams, Jr. at:  Dr. James Keaton:  keatonhardy@aol.com   Pastor Melvin Adams: pastormelvin@live.com

Salem Church Plant

On Sunday morning, October 7, 2007, 225 people gathered in Salem, VA to officially open Living Well Church of the Nazarene. This new plant is being led by Parkway House of Prayer's former pastor, Rev. Steve Parker. Pastor Steve and team have already seen several individuals pray to be saved as they have settled down to about 100-110 people as the core of this new church. Here at Parkway we felt the loss of the 50 people who have been called to help plant this new church but we were soon back up over 500 and God has already brought us several new families. We have truly discovered that you cannot out give God. If you're looking for a church on Mission with God, we invite you to visit any one of our churches here in the Roanoke Valley.

The Hispanic Mission

God is continuing to bless our new Hispanic church located at the corner of Gus Nicks and King Street. Our English classes are back in session on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm and Pastor Dave Calhoun and his team are leading worship on Sunday mornings at 11:00 am. If you would like more information about our Hispanic ministry, please contact the church office @ 982-0115. Check out the
Hispanic Ministry page for more info.

EastLake Community Church
In February of 2006, Parkway House of Prayer remodeled an older church building in the Moneta, VA area and sent about 65 people to plant EastLake Community Church. Pastor Troy Keaton has been leading EastLake from its inception. The church quickly became self-supporting and self-governing and today averages 200 in Sunday morning worship. If you're looking for a happening church in the Smith Mountain Lake area of Virginia, you need to visit EastLake.
UPDATE: EastLake has recently broke ground on a new 16,000 square foot worship/education center on the 10 acres God has provided for them. We are grateful to God for His continued blessings on this 3 1/2 year old church plant. Their congregation has grown to include about 230 people in Sunday attendance.
