Pre-Marriage Counseling Class
On Wednesday night, April 23rd, Dr. Gary & Linda Kay Jones (EastLake members) began a pre-marriage counseling class for couples thinking about marriage. The class will run for eight weeks. Dr. Jones holds a Ph.D. in family counseling and has years of experience on a large church staff. There is a cost involved in taking the class but we will not allow cost to be a barrier to anyone wanting to complete this course. Please see Pastor Jeff if you are interested in joining this class.

Family Night @ Fallon Park
Starting Friday night, April 25th, and running every Friday night through May 30th, our young adult ministry will be hosting this fun night @ Fallon Park. Come out and enjoy free fellowship, food and softball. The fun starts @ 5:30pm. For more information contact Mike Summers through the church office @ 982-0115.
We have decided that the event will take place rain or shine. If the sun is shining, the event will be held at the back ball field of Fallon Park. If it is raining, we will hold the event under the enclosed shelter if it is available. The shelter is across from the pool and playground at the front entrance to Fallon Park.
On Friday, April 25th, we had our first Family Night of the year. The clouds came out and the rain poured just as the softball games began. That didn't stop Parkway's guys and gals! Some even slide in the mud towards paper plate bases. There were approximately 125 people that turned out for the event. Many thanks to all those that donated their time, money, and energy for this great night.
On Friday, May 2nd, the weather was beautiful for our second Family Night of the year. If you haven't had a chance to join us yet, we invite you to come on out and enjoy this great time of fun and fellowship.

Campmeeting 2008
In just two short months we will once again enjoy the wonderful experience of the Blue Ridge Camp. The first week of camp will run July 5th-11th. The second week of camp will run July 12th-18th. You will need a container of your choice no more than 6" in diameter.
All other materials will be provided for a $5.00 fee payable in advance. Checks should be made payable to PHOP Ladies Group and given to Judy Ralph or placed in her box in the conference room.

Mother/Daughter Banquet
On Saturday, May 3rd, Parkway's ladies gathered together for a wonderful time of fellowship. After a brunch style meal, Dawn Campbell of the Blue Ridge Women's Center shared with us her moving testimony. Many thanks to all who worked hard to make this event wonderful!
