Powerful Life Lessons from
Old Testament Characters

On Sunday morning, April 27th, Pastor Jeff began a new series of sermons with the above title. He is exploring the lives of several O.T. Men and Women to see what they can teach us about living powerful, Godly lives in the midst of a sinful culture. Invite a friend and spend some extra time in prayer this week asking God to anoint this new series.

Important Information Concerning New Vision
The two books Pastor Jeff recommends are: “How Now Shall We Live” by Charles Colson and “None Dare Call It Education” by John Stormer. Pastor Jeff recommends that you start with “None Dare Call It Education”. Also, if you would like a copy of the C.D. and handout, we have them prepared for you on the table in the foyer. If you would like to hear the presentation Pastor Jeff gave, click here. Listen to the sermon entitled, "The New Vision". Click here to see the handout.
What's The Next Step?
Pastor Jeff is forming the following committees to lead the vision forward: Prayer; Education/Accreditation; Finance/Endowment; Media; Public Relations; Banquet; New Facilities. Pastor Jeff has put together a list of names for each committee but is open to others joining. Click here for more information on committees. We are currently working on new land and building possibilities as well as a multi-media presentation of the
vision.

The New Vision Meeting
On May 6th, 120 people gathered to take the new vision to the next level. God’s presence was in our midst as we introduced Mr. Melvin Adams as our new School System President and as we explained the purpose and goals of our foundational committees. A beautiful Cadillac was donated for our School System President to use in his travels as well as $10,000 to cover the cost of our new DVD presentation of the vision. If you missed the meeting but have interest in being involved, please click here to see the “Vision Committee” handout. Click here for pictures of our new President and the meeting. Please continue to pray earnestly for God’s leadership and blessing upon this great endeavor.

*New Staff Update*

Pastor Ronnie will be preaching most Sunday nights and will be involved in a number of other areas of ministry. We will formally introduce the Palmer and Dubbeld families on Sunday morning, June 1st.

Baby Bottles For Blue Ridge Women's Center
The Blue Ridge Women's Center is helping women keep their babies and providing help for those in desperate circumstances. We have long been a faithful supporter of the women's center. On Mother's Day we gave out baby bottles and we are inviting you to fill them full of change. Your change will save a baby and a young mother from the consequences of abortion. We are asking that you return the bottles on or before Father's Day, June 15th.
