Renewanation Update
We are excited to officially welcome Grace Academy in Hagerstown, Maryland as Renewanation’s second affiliate school. We will hold their kickoff banquet on April 29th. Please pray as our Renewanation team partners with Grace to build a crowd for this event. Also, HB 599 was defeated in the Virginia Senate. This bill that would have given tax credits to individuals and businesses who donate to private education passed the House of Delegates but was killed by senators who do not want to give parents the choice of where their children attend school. This battle is far from over.

PCA Kroger Cards
Parkway Christian Academy still has Kroger cards for anyone who needs them. If you haven’t used your card in the last 3 months, you are required to get a new one. The school gets 5% profit of the total receipts each month. This is an easy way for you to support the school. School office: 982-2400

Instruments Needed
As part of the PCA Fine Arts School, we are beginning an instrumental program and we have two fine teachers who are offering classes and lessons in that area. David Feldman (plays cello in Roanoke Symphony Orchestra) in strings and Lise’ Brinkley (plays in Winds of the Blue Ridge and Valley Chamber Orchestra) in brass, woodwinds and percussion. We are grateful that God has led these two committed Christians, who are also wonderful musicians, to help us develop an instrumental program at PCA.
We have received two gifts of instruments to help us with this program. Pastor Jeff Keaton was the first, with a gift of a clarinet. It is now being used by one of our students. A beautiful tuba was given to the school by Rita Lilley in memory of her husband, Dr. Larry Lilley. We appreciate those gifts very much. If you have an instrument in the closet or under the bed that you would like to see put to good use, contact the PCA office @ 982-2400.

Sanctuary Expansion
We are grateful to God and the men of our church for the completion of our sanctuary expansion. We have added 100 seats to be used when the front sections of the sanctuary reach 80% capacity. Let’s fill up this new section and then we’ll take the other back wall out and add another 100 seats. Every seat represents a never dying soul.

We are meeting in Room H-11 in the new building @ 6:30 p.m. All men are invited to come and grow stronger in Christ and in friendship with other men. Contact Pastor Ronnie @ 597-4146 if you have questions.

Renewanation DVD
Renewanation has released a new DVD presentation of the vision. This presentation is only four minutes long but it will be a great new tool to help you spread the word. Visit renewanation.org to see this new DVD as well as a video campaign that is promoting one million people giving $100 dollars. One of our PCA students produced this video. If one million people give $100 we will raise $100 million dollars to help make tuition free, Christian education available to the masses.

Collingsworth Family Concert
Many of you have heard the Collingsworth Family here at PHOP in the past. As most of you know, Kim Collingsworth is Pastor Jeff’s sister. Kim and her family travel all over America and often sing on the Gaither Homecoming Tour. They will be in Roanoke at the Jefferson Center on Friday night, March 26th. Janet Pascal will join them for this evening. You can purchase tickets through the Jefferson Center or sign up for the group rate here at the church. Contact Linda in the church office if you would like to join the group. Children 12 and under are free for every one paying adult.

Friend Day—March 21st

On Sunday morning, March 21st, we will host our annual Friend Day celebration. We are excited to announce that Evangelist Rick Via will be here to speak. We will have a brunch immediately following the 8:30 service and lunch immediately following the 11 a.m. service. Let’s go all out to bring our unchurched, unsaved friends and family members on this great day.

Intro To Parkway Class

Pastor Jeff will lead our next Intro Class beginning Sunday night, April 11th. In this class Pastor Jeff will share our history, doctrine, mission, vision and how you can get connected. This is an informational class that will help you better understand if Parkway House of Prayer is the church God wants you to call home. The class will run for 4 consecutive Sunday nights from April 11th-May 2nd. If you’re new to Parkway and haven’t yet attended this class, you don’t want to miss this exciting opportunity. Call the church office to sign up.

On Wednesday night, January 13th, we will kicked off our annual Pioneer Club program for our children age 5 thru 6th grade. This program includes a number of creative methods to help your children develop a Christian worldview. Also, if you haven’t yet made Wednesday night worship a part of your weekly routine, now is a good time to start a great new spiritual habit.

Sign-ups have begun for this year’s campmeeting. Camp one (Hosted by Parkway) will be held July 3—9 and camp two (Hosted by EastLake) will be held July 10-16. Dr. Allan Brown will be one of the speakers again this year for camp one and camp two will enjoy the dynamic ministry of Rev. Chris Cravens and Dr. Marlin Hotle. Plan now to take a week off to get closer to God and His people. For more information or to sign up, contact Linda Thompson in the church office.

New building, new roads, new teachers and lots of new students. PCA is exploding with growth and excitement. God continues to amaze us as we are halfway through our eighth school year. PCA has enrolled 380 students for this year. We are “right now” giving these children a thoroughly Christian worldview. What a joy to be involved in such an eternal endeavor. If you or someone you know have been thinking about enrolling a child, contact Erica Dixon to get all the details at 982-2400 or go to PCA'S website at: parkwaychristianacademy.org
